The Architect & Driving Vision of Metal ManiaX

James "Gypsy" Nagy has been an unstoppable force in rock 'n' roll promotion, artist management, and broadcast entertainment for over five decades. Known affectionately across the industry as "Gypsy," he has transitioned from playing bass in late-60s Midwest rock circuits to managing mainstream legends, executive producing independent films, and engineering international media syndication.

On Metal ManiaX Radio Show, Gypsy brings his immense rolodex of legendary rock connections, encyclopedic music knowledge, and sharp promotional acumen to give independent bands on 440Music.com genuine global airplay.

Key Accomplishments: 2010 to Present

2011 – 2012
⚡ Managing Richie Ramone (The Ramones) & The Tommy Bolan Connection
Gypsy served as project manager and head of promotions/PR for legendary Ramones drummer and songwriter Richie Ramone. 2011 – 2013
🎬 Feature Film & Soundtrack Executive Producer (Jim Rose)
Partnering with counter-culture icon Jim Rose (Jim Rose Circus), Gypsy served as Executive Producer for the feature film "Life Unleashed" and executive producer for the film and soundtrack of "The Jim Rose Movie (The Tap Dancing Dog)". He also executive produced the Jim Rose DIY Artist Marketing Seminar, bringing practical music business education to independent artists.

He graduated from broadcasting school in Cleveland under TV host Don Webster, interned at WGCL FM, co-hosted on DC 101 FM with Matt The Cat to crowds of 15,000+, and managed/promoted shows with Mitch Ryder, Ted Nugent, Molly Hatchet, Ratt, Angel, Kix, and Murder Ink (winner of Washington DC Metal Band of the Year three straight years).
